Treasuries with Investor Oversight

Raised funds sit in a treasury. A monthly budget covers expenses, and anything larger goes through a large spend proposal

When an entrepreneur raises funds on MetaDAO, the raised funds sit in a treasury.

The entrepreneur has a monthly budget that they can pull out every month to cover expenses.

They can spend up to 3x that budget by creating a large spend proposal.

The approval process is through decision markets, which are explained in detail in Governance. A brief description is “large spends go through after 48 hours unless investors, on net, believe that this transaction would be very value-destructive, such as in the case of misappropriation.”
