Allocation
Allocation, Ownership Score and Aligned Parties, as of October 2026
This page covers what changed in how raises are allocated: the allocation rules, Ownership Score, and guaranteed allocations for Aligned Parties. For the protocol changes that apply after a raise closes, read MetaDAO 2.0. The ICO stays the long-form home for how a raise works.
How allocation is decided now
Everyone still pays the same price per token. When a raise is oversubscribed, the share you keep is no longer only a function of how long your money sat in escrow. Time-weighted preference is still the base. An early-fill boost still rewards money that arrived while the pool was empty. Ownership Score is now a third weighting on top of those two.
Aligned Parties get their guaranteed allocations first. Those amounts are reserved, and everyone else shares what is left by weight.
This can change what you receive. A low Ownership Score does not lock you out. It can mean you need to commit more to end up with the same share. The split is still pro rata and time-based. The score changes the weights, not the shape. Check your Ownership Score before you size a commit, not after the raise closes.
What the weights change
The table follows the same four backers under each rule, in a short example raise with a $100,000 goal and $300,000 committed. Time-weighting is the first column. Boost is added next. Ownership Score is the last column, the rule that is new. Score is each wallet's Ownership Score when the raise is allocated, normally right after it closes. Ben and Dee have no score.
| Backer | Committed | When | Score | Time | + Boost | + Score |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ana | $20,000 | At open | 250,000 | $19,512 | $20,000 | $20,000 |
| Ben | $20,000 | At open | None | $19,512 | $20,000 | $12,017 |
| Cam | $80,000 | Hour 2 | 2,000 | $39,024 | $43,492 | $48,161 |
| Dee | $180,000 | Hour 3:30 | None | $21,951 | $16,508 | $19,822 |
Ana and Ben committed the same amount at the same second, and they stay even until score is applied. Ben has no score, so his weight stays where boost left it while every scored wallet moves up, and his fill drops from $20,000 to $12,017. Cam's modest score lifts him from $43,492 to $48,161. Dee has no score either but still rises from $16,508 to $19,822. Ana is already capped at her commit, and that excess is shared by how much of each commit is still unfilled, which score does not touch. Dee has the most left to fill, so most of that excess goes to her. A low score does not lock you out. It changes how much of your commit converts.
Ownership Score
Ownership Score is a single number on a Solana wallet. Each day you hold eligible ownership tokens adds their dollar value, and older days fade by 1% a day, so holding at a steady price raises it every day.
It is not a credit score and not a judgement about you. It measures dollars of ownership held, over time. The score that counts is the committing wallet's own score when the raise is allocated, normally right after it closes, so commit from the wallet that holds your tokens. Look up any wallet on the Ownership Score page.
Guaranteed allocations for Aligned Parties
MetaDAO keeps a list of Aligned Parties: wallets cleared for a guaranteed allocation. These parties have shown they are aligned with the ecosystem. A party gets on the list by booking a call with the MetaDAO team.
Founders decide how much of a raise is reserved for Aligned Parties. Only commits from approved wallets count towards the reservation. An approved wallet that has not committed to this raise holds nothing yet. If $80,000 is reserved against a $240,000 goal, the remaining $160,000 is what everyone else shares by weight.
Reserved is not hidden. A reserved wallet still sits in escrow and still claims back anything above what it was guaranteed, the same as any other backer.
